Sir,

In reply to your letter No.2149/15 dated the 29th November, 1915, in which you inquire whether I should be willing to accept a seat on the Medical Board in the place of the late Mr. Hewett, I desire to state that I mich regret that the only post which I am willing to accept, in succession to Mr. Hewett, is that of a Member of the Executive Council, on which Council I acted for Sir Paul Chater, during his last absence in England and also for Mr. Hewett, during his last absence in

England.

I would also beg leave to remind His Excellency

the Governor that I have in addition had previous experience of

Executive Council matters, for periods of time amounting to nearly 3 years in all, as Acting Attorney General.

The Honourable

The Colonial Secretary.

1 am,

etc.

sd.

H. E. POLLOCK.
